The TV interview with Janet St. James
Posted on 2009-02-05 12:46:03
I was fortunate enough to have been interviewed today by Janet St. James of Channel 8 news so I wanted to talk about some of the things that we talked about while she was here. I know that unfortunately she is going to have to squeeze over 2 hours of interviewing into 2 minutes of TV time so I wanted to make sure that I was able to get a couple of things that might not have time to make it on get on.
First I am a VERY big fan of antibiotics. They are the reason that we don’t have to amputate limbs due to gangrene any more. They have saved countless numbers of lives and will continue to do so as time goes forward. They are the reason that surgeries have become increasingly safer. For these reasons and many many more I am a big fan of antibiotics. The problem is that I feel that they are over used and people feel that they cannot listen to their doctor when he says you don’t need anything or that they can take them however they want to without anything bad happening to them. This is where the problem lies not in the proper use as prescribed by your doctor but by people altering or adding to what their doctor has told them.
This can lead to fungal over growths as well as decreasing immune function and nutrient absorption into the body. When this happens that is when I normally see people after nothing else has helped when they are feeling like no one can help them they seek an alternative and I am normally that alternative.
On a final, note Janet and her crew were great and I look forward to working with them again.
